If TV reception is poor in your part of the country, you can boost the TV aerial signal level by the use of an Antiference mast head amplifier (sometimes referred to as aerial boosters). These should be fitted close to the TV aerial. This can be in the loft if the cable from your TV aerial diverts into the loft before proceeding down the cavity into the lounge. You will need a power unit to power the amplifier (supplied with all our mast head amplifiers). This can be fitted in the lounge behind the TV. The power unit sends 12 volts up to the mast head amplifier to power it, using the same coaxial cable.  Mast head amplifiers come in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 way, so if you have other rooms to connect up this might be a convenient way to do it. The mast head amplifier can also be fitted to a fascia board. Full instructions supplied.

If you have good signal reception and wish to add additional points consider our Antiference Distribution amplifiers. There is a large range of these which can cater for between 2 and 12 rooms. Distribution amplifiers have less gain than mast head amplifiers as their job is just to make up for the loss of signal in the internal splitter and the cable run to the room. In practice the signal output of each socket on the amplifier is typically double which is ideal for making up the signal loss due to cable length between the amplifier and each point.

We also sell Power Units (on their own) for mast head amplifiers, as it's not uncommon for these to be missing when you move into your new home. If you cannot get a TV picture when you have moved house this maybe the cause, Check the aerial wiring and look for an unpowered mast head amplifier first.
